New field added to dispatch API & webhook events

Leap is developing a new communication test tool to give partners a way to test their dispatch operations. This capability adds a new field to dispatch API event notifications which is considered a non-breaking change for existing integrations.

The new communication_test field will be released to production on Monday, August 5th but is currently available in staging if you would like to validate your dispatch automation setup ahead of the release. You can review the following code examples for the webhook and dispatch API polling.

Note that the location of the communication_test field is different for webhook (top-level) vs. dispatch API polling (within timeslot) due to the architecture of these event notifications.

Leap will be releasing these communication test capabilities later this summer, including the ability for partners to schedule their own test through the partner portal, to be able to validate that any future operational or integration changes do not impact dispatch operations.
